AVID – Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is a college readiness system the Lakeville Area school system offers for student in grades 6-12.
Lakeville Business Academy
Lakeville Business Academy – The Lakeville Business Academy is an innovative learning program that engages high school students with real business applications and networking opportunities.
Discover – The Discover program is offered at each elementary school for students in grades three through five. Discover provides direct instruction for identified gifted learners using award-winning curriculum from the College of William & Mary. The gifted specialist works with Discover students 90 – 120 minutes each week.
Ignite! – Ignite! is a unique full-time gifted program that combines a challenging core curriculum with flexible choice offerings to provide highly gifted children the opportunity to ignite their passion for learning. Ignite! is housed at Oak Hills Elementary to qualifying students across the district.
Impact Academy – Impact Academy is a program based on the education model that creates a personalized learning environment where all students are taught at their individual level in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics.
LinK12 Lakeville – LinK12 Lakeville is a free, comprehensive, statewide online school through which students can earn a Lakeville Area Public Schools diploma.
MNCAPS – The Minnesota Center for Advanced Professional Studies (MNCAPS) program is a joint program between Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools and Lakeville Area Public Schools. MNCAPS provides students with real-world immersion learning in professional settings.
Smart Bus – The Smart Bus brings summer school to Lakeville Area neighborhoods.
STEAM – Lakeville Area Public Schools students in first grade through fifth grade are exploring and applying science, technology, art and math concepts to engineering challenges in STEAM class.
STEM Academy – Lakeville South High School’s STEM Academy’s curriculum mimics that of the real world. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) encourages students to work together and to develop critical thinking skills that will serve them well in the workplace.
