Principal’s Message

Welcome to Century Middle School!

My name is Chris Endicott and 2017-18 marks my sixth year as the principal at CMS. After five years of being the “new guy”, I can safely say that CMS now very much feels like home.  Our staff has a knack for making everyone feel comfortable.  Andrea, my wife, is a middle school counselor in Apple Valley, which is where we live with our three children. Prior to making the jump into educational administration about 12 years ago, I was an English teacher and volleyball coach for 13 years.  In all of my experiences, which include tiny schools in outstate Minnesota and huge metro middle schools, I’ve yet to find a group of people quite like the staff at Century.  All schools strive to serve kids and help them find success, but at CMS, serving students, creating positive relationships with students, and insuring student success seems to be somehow uniquely engrained in our culture.

It is our philosophy that all children are entitled to a rewarding and successful school experience, not only as individuals, but also as members of the school group, the community and the nation. Through a nurturing environment, the school program should stimulate all students to achieve their individual maximum potentials and to develop attitudes, skills, interests and knowledge that enable them to become contributing and productive citizens of society.

We look forward to an exciting school year. It is our goal to involve parents as key members of our educational team. We sincerely hope this year is enjoyable and a time for real growth. Teamwork, of course, means good communication between home and school. Please contact us whenever you have questions or concerns. In addition, our schools are always open for you to visit. We greatly appreciate parent visits and encourage everyone to share their experiences.

Sincerely, Chris Endicott, Principal 952-232-2310 Christopher.Endicott@isd194.org
