Principal’s Message

Welcome to Eastview Elementary School.

I am excited to be an active part of this strong and successful school community.  As the principal at Eastview elementary School I work hard to foster a safe and positive learning environment where all students experience high quality instruction, high expectations and learn to the best of their abilities.  All of us at Eastview work to create and support a community dedicated to academic excellence.

In my view, this community of excellence has three primary players, the school staff, the students and parents.   When all three of these individuals work together amazing personal and academic growth can take place for each child.  This growth is fostered when students consistently do their best work, the parents and school staff clearly  communicate with each other and when the adults provide encouragement and support.  I consider myself very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to work in a leadership role with the staff and students at Eastview. I look forward to contributing to this tradition of academic excellence.

My work in public education began in the Richfield Schools where I worked for ten years in a wide variety of teaching roles that included teaching third grade, analyzing data to improve instruction, assisting teachers in the implementation of the Minnesota graduation standards, integrating technology into classrooms and working with statewide testing. In 2005 I accepted a position with the Lakeville Area Public Schools as the district assessment coordinator. I worked in that capacity until February 2008 when I accepted the invitation to serve as the principal at Sioux Trail Elementary School in Burnsville. I returned to the Lakeville Area Public Schools in 2013 to be a part of the strong tradition of excellence at Eastview Elementary School.

Please contact any member of the Eastview Elementary team with questions, concerns or request for additional information.
