Important information for all LSHS students regarding the February 28th Statewide Optional ACT Test
On Tuesday, February 28, 2017 all juniors have the option to take the college entrance exam ACT plus Writing at Lakeville South High School free of charge. Students who wish to take the test during the school day on February 28th will need to sign up through the district’s FeePay system. There is no charge for the Statewide ACT test and scores are reportable to Post Secondary Institutions. Students can select up to four colleges to receive the scores at no charge.
Week of February 13-17th: Non-Test Portions of the ACT
Purpose: All juniors will complete the non-test portions of the ACT in the Lecture Hall.
The ACT plus Writing scores may be used for college reporting. Students can select up to four colleges to receive the scores at no charge.

February 28: Statewide ACT plus Writing
Details: All juniors who are testing need to report by 7:45am to their designated testing area. Designated testing areas will be posted outside of Student Services a week before testing. Busses will run on a regular schedule. Students should bring a scientific calculator (students can check on www.act.org if a calculator is ACT approved), two #2 pencils (mechanical pencils are NOT allowed), and a photo ID. A limited number of calculators will be available for students. NO CELL PHONES ARE ALLOWED. There will be one 15-minute break. Students are encouraged to bring snacks for the break. Lunch will be served at approximately 1:00 pm. Students have the option to eat lunch at school or leave campus for the day.
May – June: ACT score reports will be mailed to individual households
Details: ACT will mail a paper copy of each score report directly to the address the student reported on the non-test portion of the exam within 3-8 weeks of the administration of the exam.
