Mount Olivet Conference & Retreat Center

The center is an outreach ministry of Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, located 40 minutes south of Minneapolis/St. Paul or just south of Lakeville, MN.   All candidates must have reliable transportation as no public transportation is available near the Conference & Retreat Center.  For the security of guests and staff, a background check is required.

Experienced Cook, part-time
This position is part time 8-16 hours per week on average, including every Saturday and some
Sundays/holidays. Schedule will vary depending on business needs. 
Required experience: Professional Cooking: 2+ years. Baking: 2 years

Food Service/Housekeeping, part-time
Kitchen duties include assisting in preparing and serving meals, dish washing and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining room. For extra hours we can give you hours in housekeeping as well.
Work schedule is based on an average of 15-20 hours per week, day and early evening shifts, including
some weekends.

Non-Licensed Position 
Community Education – WATER SAFETY ASSISTANT
Days Vary, 5-10 Hours per week, Position to begin January 18, 2018

Position Description:
1. Complete attendance as needed
2. Lead warm up and other activities under supervision of instructor
3. Assist instructor with demonstration of skills and other duties
4. Communicate effectively with students.
5. Assist with set up of class equipment on a daily basis as needed
6. Assist with evaluating students at the end of each session to recommend advancement
7. Follow all aquatic safety procedures and notify supervisor of any safety concerns
8. Complete all training and in-services required

Position Qualifications:
1. Current Red Cross Water Safety Assistant (WSA) certificate.
2. Must be at least 14 years old
3. Previous experience with swimming desired
4. Ability to assist students in the water
5. Ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, co-workers and supervisor
6. Ability to follow directions and follow through on tasks.

Openings for part time Program Counselor working with special needs children assisting our clients with therapeutic activities.

Starting immediately, 2-5 days a week. 3:30pm – 6:00pm

Saturday mornings are also available to work.

Summer shifts are:  9:00 to 12:00 and/or 12:30 to 4:00 pm 

No experience necessary we’ll train right person.

Resumes are an important part to starting out the journey to looking for employment.  Even if you have not worked before, any volunteer work or accomplishments in academics, etc… would be a good base for your resume to begin with.
