Welcome McGuire families and the Lakeville Area community!

McGuire Middle School is an award winning school that is student centered and focuses on the learning of all students. Our expectations are high and students do an outstanding job of meeting them. Currently, we have 950 students in grades 6 through grade 8.  We offer core curriculum in the areas of math, science, social studies, language arts, music and physical education/health. Our exploratory courses include Industrial Technology, Family & Consumer Science, Art and Computer Technology.  We have implemented an Honors curriculum in grades 6 through grade 8 for all of our core courses.

I have been in education for over 20 years.  My career in education started as a middle school science teacher in Grand Forks, North Dakota.  Since then I have taught middle school and high school science and worked as an assistant principal.  I received my bachelor’s degree from Concordia College in Moorhead.  My master’s degree was earned from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.  I attended St. Mary’s University (Minnesota) for my doctoral degree.

I am honored to be principal at McGuire Middle School and serve the Lakeville community.  I want to make sure your experience at McGuire is outstanding.

Sincerely,

Joshua T.D. Alexander, Ed.D, Principal
