Lakeville Area Public Schools will approach voters in November to renew a 2007 levy.
Lakeville Area Public Schools’ Board of Education approved a resolution Aug. 8 to renew the school district’s expiring referendum revenue authorization and calling for an election Nov. 7.
The district will seek renewal of the voter-approved 2007 levy referendum, which would raise $8.2 million to support existing educational programs and services. Renewal of this levy would not increase property taxes.
In June 2017, the district polled likely voters about their support for renewing the 2007 levy: Of the 400 registered voters polled, 79 percent indicated they supported renewing the 2007 levy.
