The third annual “Stuff the Bus” event benefitting Ready, Set, Achieve! will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 16 at Buffalo Wild Wings, 18425 Orchard Trail, Lakeville. The event will feature a friendly competition to stuff the district’s Smart Bus full of supplies to help children in need.

Last year, more than 400 students received new backpacks and school supplies as a result of the community’s generosity.

The family-friendly event also will feature fun activities for students and families, including appearances by Lakeville North and Lakeville South student athletes, appearances by the MN RollerGirls, face painting, a DJ and more.

Once again, Buffalo Wild Wings has generously pledged a portion of evening sales during Stuff the Bus 2017 to support Ready, Set, Achieve!

Ready, Set, Achieve particularly needs new backpacks for elementary, middle and high school students; shoes for elementary and middle school students (considered a school supply because of gym class requirements); college ruled notebooks; and composition notebooks. Additionally, new and gently worn spirit wear (elementary, middle and high school) will be accepted.

Check back for updates on items in need to help students succeed.

Families who cannot make the event but still wish to contribute may bring new backpacks and school supplies to Crystal Lake Education Center (16250 Ipava Ave., Lakeville) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday through Aug. 22 or donate online at https://isd194.ce.eleyo.com/course/1710/ready-set-achieve-donation-2017/ready-set-achieve-donation%E2%80%941.
