Lakeville Area Public Schools installed a new Visitor Management System in fourteen of our buildings, including the three middle schools, eight elementary schools, Area Learning Center, Community Education Building, and Crystal Lake Education Center. These locations were selected based on a professional review of emergency management needs. Activation of the Access Control System (ACS) will take place on a school by school basis during the fall once staff have received the necessary training, refinement of operations and procedures for each school are in place, and information to school communities has been delivered.

The district selected to purchase the AiPhone IX Series, an integrated intercom, video camera, and badge printer system, which is currently being used in multiple school districts across the metro. Its visitor management system will allow the district to track visitors to buildings and the purpose for their visit in a database. The improved access controls will provide students and staff with a heightened level of safety and security through individual visitor control.

Please contact Jim Langevin at for questions on the new Visitor Management System.
