Community Education Advisory Council seeking members

CEAC FY19You can make a positive difference in the Lakeville Area by being a part of the Community Education Advisory Council (CEAC). The council provides valuable input and feedback on community activities, programs and services such as Early Childhood Family Education, Small Wonders Preschool, Kid Zone School-Age Child Care, Youth and Adult Enrichment, Adult Basic Education and more. The council will kick-off their 2018-19 activities on Nov. 1.

Upcoming topics include:

  • adult enrichment opportunities, trends and measurement;
  • programs supporting middle school students and their families;
  • school safety and security during the extended-school day and community hours, and 
  • community group facility use.

The CEAC meets every other month on a Thursday evening for 90 minutes. Child care during meetings (preschool-age to grade 5), as well as the ability to participate via video conferencing, is available.
