School Social Worker Appreciation Week, March 2-6

School Social Worker Appreciation

Lakeville Area Schools celebrates March 2-6, 2020 as School Social Worker Appreciation Week. School social workers help parents, students, and school staff identify needs that interfere with learning. They work with students to get the services they need. This week we celebrate our thanks and gratitude for these essential staff members.

Lakeville Area Schools is fortunate to have three licensed school social workers who are employed in our schools to help our students reach their full potential.

School social workers promote a safe and equitable school climate and culture supporting positive academic and behavioral outcomes.

School social workers help parents focus on ways to further the educational, personal and social growth of their children.

School social workers collaborate with building and district staff to coordinate systems of support for students.

School social workers seek to identify and utilize community resources that can enhance and complement student support programs and help students become productive members of society.

Comprehensive student support programs are considered an integral part of the district’s educational process, enabling all students to achieve success in school, career, and life.

Please join Lakeville Area Schools in recognizing these individuals for School Social Worker Appreciation Week.
