Voters approve Lakeville Area Public Schools levy referendum renewal

Elementary students say thank you during  a program.The 10-year operating levy referendum renewal unofficially passed by an overwhelming majority in the Lakeville Area Public Schools district.


The levy, which will translate to $692.75 per pupil (approximately $8 million in funding the first year), unofficially passed with 74.7 percent of votes (4,620) on Tuesday, Nov. 7.

“We are so grateful for the positive outcome,” said Superintendent Michael Baumann. “Our communities are tremendous, and we appreciate your support for the children in our communities. We will continue to work hard to make the most out of the resources the communities have entrusted to us.”

Property taxpayers in the Lakeville Area Public Schools district will not see an increase in their school district portion of property taxes as a result of the referendum renewal.
