On April 8, Bill Holmgren will join Lakeville Area Schools as the executive director of business services.
Holmgren has worked in school finance for 20 years. Most recently, he was the director of finance for SouthWest Metro Intermediate School District 288 where he managed district-wide business operations, including finance, purchasing, accounts payable/receivable, instructional technology, student nutrition programs and facilities operations.
“I look forward to working with staff across all levels of the organization, as well as the school board, parents and community members to further the school district’s mission and continue to provide first-rate educational opportunities for our students,” Holmgren said.
Prior to Holmgren’s work with SouthWest Metro Intermediate School District 288, Holmgren worked for Columbia Heights Public Schools as the director of finance and operations, School Management Services as a business consultant, Monticello Public Schools as the director of finance, and Royalton Public Schools as the business manager.
Holmgren has a bachelor’s degree in finance from St. Cloud State University, a master’s in accounting and financial management from DeVry University, and a master’s in business from DeVry University.
Holmgren will replace Jaber Alsiddiqui, who has been serving as interim executive director of business services since November 1, 2018.
